CHICHEN ITZA
Chichen Itza (Mayan: (Chichen) Mouth of the well; of the (Itza) water sorcerers) is one of the main archaeological sites on the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico, located in the municipality of Tinum, in the state of Yucatan. An important and renowned vestige of the Mayan civilization, the main buildings that remain there correspond to the period of decline of the Mayan culture itself, known by archaeologists as the Postclassic period.

The breathtaking architecture that has endured to this day at Chichen Itza is a true emblem of Toltec influence! At the heart of this magical site, we find the god Kukulcan, a Mayan representation of Quetzalcoatl, whose presence resonates with the rich mythology of the Toltec culture. Chichen Itza was not only a city, but a vibrant ceremonial center that underwent various periods of construction and was influenced by the peoples who inhabited it from its founding.
And let's not forget its incredible recognition! In 1988, UNESCO added it to the World Heritage List, and in 2007, the Temple of Kukulcán was hailed as one of the New Seven Wonders of the Modern World, thanks to the support of millions of voters around the globe. A jewel that everyone should experience!
